This week’s release brings a major update to Event Showcase website tools, plus improvements across ticketed events, volunteer management, fundraising, and more. Whether you’re organizing a race, running a membership club, or managing a ticketed event, there’s something here that should make your week a little easier. Here’s what’s new, grouped by area.
RACEDAY SCORING V6
RaceDay Scoring V6 is here, delivering a major performance upgrade for race timers. Built on a multi-year architecture rebuild in Rust, V6 operates as a self-driving data engine that handles heavy background processing in sub-50 milliseconds—keeping your interface lightning-fast and instantly responsive even at your largest events.
RaceDay Scoring was engineered to serve as the central hub for the entire race ecosystem. We didn’t set out to build just another standalone scoring program—we built RaceDay Scoring to serve as the central engine for multiple purposes. By placing scoring at the hub, data flows and synchronizes automatically across our entire technology suite in real time. We built what is effectively a self-driving data exchange so the software does the heavy lifting between systems, taking the manual burden off timers so they can focus on what they do best.
EVENT LISTS & WEBSITE BUILDER
New Event Showcase for Websites
Event lists on your website can now be built and manged from a single, dedicated dashboard page instead of being buried in website settings. You can combine races, ticketed events, partners, timers, and location filters into a saved configuration, then reuse it anywhere on your site. Existing event lists continue to work exactly as before, and this new tool is available for races, ticketed events, membership organizations, and organization websites.
Event Names Restored in Results Selector
The dropdown for switching between result sets now shows the event name again alongside each option, making it easier to tell which result set you’re viewing when a race has multiple associated events.
More Reliable Event Showcase Displays
Fixed a couple of issues that could cause an event list configuration page to fail to save or display an error instead of loading correctly.
TICKETED EVENTS & WAIVERS
Waiver Language Updates
Updated the standard wording shown throughout the waiver setup and signing experience for races, ticketed events, and membership organizations to be clearer and more consistent.
Clearer Ticket Insurance Coverage Details
The pricing breakdown for optional event insurance now specifies exactly what it covers on a per-ticket or per-item basis, so purchasers have a clearer picture of what they’re paying for.
More Reliable Waiver Signature Syncing
Fixed an issue where signing a waiver through the mobile app didn’t always update as quickly as signing through the website, which could make it look like a signature hadn’t gone through.
Easier Waiver Link Sharing By Text
Waiver links can now be shared by text message without breaking, so participants who receive a waiver link that way can open it without any issues.
More Accurate Ticket Transfer Time Slots
Fixed an inconsistency that could cause a purchased time slot to appear unavailable when a ticket holder tried to transfer their ticket to someone else.
VOLUNTEER V2
The following updates are part of Volunteer V2, our next-generation volunteer management experience currently in limited beta.
New Volunteer Event Email Templates
Volunteer event organizers can now create, edit, and preview their own email templates directly from the volunteer event dashboard, with support for placeholders that automatically fill in event-specific details.
Volunteer Notification Settings
Added dedicated notification settings for volunteer events, giving organizers more control over what emails go out to volunteers and when.
DONATIONS & FUNDRAISING
New Prebuilt Fundraiser Email Templates
Individual and team fundraisers now have several professionally designed email templates to choose from right in the send-email flow, in addition to any templates you’ve already created.
Facebook Fundraiser Setup Fix
Fixed an issue that was preventing some organizations from successfully connecting their Facebook Fundraiser integration, even when their page information was entered correctly due to changes in Facebook’s Fundraiser API.
Sponsor Placement Fix on Fundraiser Emails
Sponsor logos on the self-serve fundraiser email dashboard now consistently appear at the bottom of the page for websites using the newer website builder, matching the placement used on other fundraiser pages.
Transaction Details on Corporate Team Payments
Corporate team payment and invoice screens now show a direct link to the related transaction along with the payment timestamp and whether it was made online or offline.
REGISTRATION & WEBSITE DESIGN
Estimated Finish Time on Confirmation Emails
When a participant provides an estimated finish time during registration, it now appears on their confirmation email and on their registration details page, in addition to anywhere it already appeared.
Video Banner Color Overlay Options
Added new overlay options for video banners on your website’s homepage, including a theme-colored tint with adjustable strength, giving you more control over how your banner looks against your brand colors.
Private Event Codes Now Copy on Renewal
Private event codes now automatically carry over when you renew or copy a race, so you no longer need to recreate them by hand.
Fixed Photo Submission for Virtual Results
Fixed an issue where the “Submit Your Photos” option wasn’t appearing for participants submitting virtual results on websites using the newer website builder.
Registration Header Logo Fix
Fixed an issue where a wide logo could stretch across the entire registration page header. Logos now scale to fit properly regardless of their shape.
Clearer SMS Onboarding Messaging
Our new SMS Messaging is currently in Alpha. Read more here on signing up as a Beta tester this fall.
If you start setting up text messaging before your payment account has been fully approved, you’ll now see a clear message explaining that you need to wait for approval, instead of a generic error.
MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATIONS
Google Analytics for Membership Websites
Membership organizations can now connect Google Analytics to their website, matching functionality already available for races and other event types.
RACE PHOTOS & REPORTING TOOLS
Bulk Move and Delete for Race Photos
You can now select multiple race photos at once in Advanced Mode and move them to a different album or delete them in a single action, instead of handling each photo one at a time.
Saved Reports for Ticket Item Sales
The items-by-ticket report for ticketed events now supports saved reports, so you can save your preferred filters and search fields for future use.
Fixed Saved Report Filter Bug
Fixed an issue where certain filter values wouldn’t correctly pre-populate when creating a saved report from a search that included a multi-select filter.
BEHIND-THE-SCENES IMPROVEMENTS
Payment Processing Reliability Fixes
Made several behind-the-scenes improvements to how payment and refund events are tracked and handled, improving the reliability of our payment processing systems.
