This week we shipped 53 releases, adding 15,707 lines of code and removing 2,747 lines as we continue to improve and simplify the platform.
This past week, our team focused on rounding out the beta of our new volunteer management tools, adding more flexibility to the website builder, and tightening up ticketing, waivers, and reporting across the board.
Volunteer Management (Volunteer V2 Beta)
We kept building out the next generation of volunteer management tools currently in a limited beta (you can read more about the Volunteer V2 beta here). This week’s updates make it easier to brand your volunteer event, connect with community partners, and keep registration running smoothly.
Bring Your Own Web Address To Your Volunteer Event
Volunteer event organizers can now point their own website address (like volunteer.yourevent.org) directly at their RunSignUp volunteer event page. This brings the same custom domain option already available for races and clubs to volunteer events, so your branding stays consistent no matter how volunteers find you.
Showcase Multiple Events With A Volunteer Event List
If you run more than one volunteer opportunity, you can now display them all together in a single, easy-to-browse list right on your volunteer website — the same event list feature already used on many race and ticketed event sites. Volunteers can see what’s coming up and what’s already happened without you having to build separate pages for each event.
Partner With Local Organizations On Volunteer Events
Volunteer events can now be linked to a partner organization, just like member organizations and ticketed events already can. This makes it easy to highlight community partnerships and nonprofit collaborations directly from your volunteer event.
Smoother, More Reliable Volunteer Sign-Ups
We also made a number of behind-the-scenes improvements to volunteer registration this week: sign-ups now hold up better during busy traffic, invalid phone numbers are caught with a clear message instead of an error, and duplicate accounts can no longer be created with an email address that’s already in use. We also cleaned up a few display issues with volunteer time slots and waiver names along the way.
Website Builder
Add A Virtual Challenge To Your Custom Website
If you offer a virtual challenge alongside your event, you can now add a dedicated virtual challenge section directly into your custom website using the website builder — no extra workaround required. It’s the same virtual challenge display already available on cover pages, now available anywhere on your site.
Edit Your Site’s Wording As You Build
You can now update your website’s custom wording right from the theme menu while you’re building your site, instead of jumping to a separate settings page. It’s a small change that makes it quicker to fine-tune your site’s language exactly how you want it.
More Reliable Event Listings On Your Website
We fixed several issues with the event list feature on race and donation websites, including a bug that could prevent saving your event list settings. We also hid the “Upcoming” and “Past” tabs when only one type of event is available, so your list looks cleaner when you don’t need both.
Clearer Time Slot Calendars On Mobile
Time slot calendars on your website now display more clearly on mobile devices — colored event labels are easier to see, label text is larger, and text no longer disappears against dark backgrounds in the website editor preview.
Fixed Custom Homepage Links
If you had set a custom web address for your site’s home button, clicking your logo will now correctly take visitors to that address instead of the default page. This was affecting some sites that route their homepage link somewhere other than the standard overview page.
Fixed Disappearing Two-Column Sections
We fixed a bug in the website builder where a two-column layout (with the recently released feature to have unevenly sized columns) where the columns could disappear entirely when displayed at full width. Your page sections will now display as expected no matter how you’ve sized them.
Ticketing & Payments
Corrected Sales Tax On Add-On Items
We fixed an issue that could cause sales tax to be incorrectly charged on certain add-on items during ticket registration, such as automatically applied shipping charges, even when those items were set up as non-taxable. Sales tax now correctly follows the taxability settings you’ve configured for your event.
Resend Ticket Gift Transfer Invitations
When someone gifts a ticket to another person, you can now resend that transfer invitation email directly if it didn’t get delivered or was missed, rather than having to cancel and start the gift transfer over from scratch.
Waivers
Give Your Waivers Clear, Custom Names
Waivers can now be given a custom, descriptive name instead of only a generic label like “Waiver #123.” This makes it much easier for you and your participants to tell multiple waivers apart, both on the registration page and in your reports.
Print Or Save Signed Waivers As A PDF
You can now print or save an individual signed waiver as a clean, ready-to-share PDF directly from your waiver agreements report, which is handy for record-keeping or responding to a specific request.
Cleaner Ticket Waiver Pages
We tidied up the public ticket waiver pages with a clearer, easier-to-copy link box and a more appropriately sized QR code, removing some redundant headings along the way.
Memberships & Clubs
See Cancelled Memberships In Your Reports
Club administrators can now choose to include recently cancelled memberships in their membership reports, making it easier to get a complete picture of activity rather than only currently active members.
Faster Access To Membership Purchase Details
Membership purchases now link directly from your transactions report to that purchase’s full details, so you can jump straight to the information you need instead of searching for it separately.
Clearer Instructions When Importing Club Members
When importing members into your club, you’ll now see a clear on-page note explaining that imported memberships land on an unclaimed account until each member claims it using their email address — helping avoid confusion during the import process.
Race Results & Timing
No More Duplicate Result Text Alerts
We fixed an issue where the same phone number or email address could be signed up more than once for race-result text and email notifications, which could lead to participants receiving duplicate alerts. Notifications will now only go out once per contact.
See Which Results Power Each Award Division
On your race’s award divisions dashboard, you can now see exactly which result set each division is tied to, with a direct link to it — making it easier to confirm which results are feeding your awards.
Easier-To-Read Race Result Numbers
Large numbers on the individual results page, such as virtual race mileage or step totals, now display with comma separators, making them quicker to read at a glance.
Sharper Certification Badges On Timer Search
Timing company certification badges on our public Timer Search page now display as crisp, resizable graphics instead of the older, lower-resolution icons.
Donations & Fundraising
Recovering Accidentally Deleted Fundraising Pages
Our support team can now restore an individual or team fundraising page that was accidentally deleted, with team fundraising totals correctly recalculated once a member’s page is restored. If you ever delete a fundraising page by mistake, reach out to our support team and we can help get it back.
Correct Race Dates On Past Fundraisers
We fixed a display issue where older fundraisers listed on a participant’s profile could show the wrong race date. Past fundraisers now correctly display the date of the race they were originally tied to.
Reporting
Better Filtering And Export For Refund Reports
Our Group/Team Refund Report has been rebuilt on our newer reporting framework, giving race directors the same built-in filtering and data export options already available in our other standard reports.
General Experience Improvements
Fixed Search Results Bug In Find A Runner
We fixed a bug in the Find a Runner search tool where changing how many results were shown per page, while viewing a later page, could incorrectly display “No Participants Found.” Changing the page size now properly returns you to a page with results.
Easier-To-Read Registration Change Requests
We redesigned the registration change requests screen with clearer visual separation between requests, making it faster to scan and review changes to registrations.
Refreshed Look For Your Account Pages
We continued modernizing the look of several account pages — including fundraisers, sponsors, referrals, wait lists, and director payments — with a cleaner, more consistent tile-based design.
