Announcing RaceJoy for Virtual Challenge Events!

We are super excited to share that RaceJoy’s is now fully integrated with RunSignup’s virtual Challenge Platform! RunSignup has quickly become the chosen challenge platform provider for fitness and nonprofit communities. The integration of RaceJoy, the industry’s leading race day mobile app, strengthens and expands the challenge experience by offering real-time engagement with participants and automated performance data transmission to the Challenge Platform.

Challenge organizers are able to extend their official event experience to include an interactive mobile experience with live GPS phone tracking, spectator cheer sending, continual progress updates, and a custom audio race experience created by event organizers. The participant’s progress activity is automatically tallied and transmitted to RunSignup’s Challenge Platform where participants are able to access their personal progress dashboard. The Challenge Platform is accessible to customers of both RunSignup and GiveSignup, offering a new and limitless way to engage participants and supporters over longer periods of time.

We’ve seen explosive growth in the virtual challenge space and many events are experiencing unprecedented registrations as people are seeking out ways to take on new challenges all across the country– either individually or virtually with others. Events, like the Great American 5,000 and the Great Virtual Race Across Tennessee, are experiencing registrations well beyond their expectations. With this growing demand, we’ve focused on delivering technology that creates an engaging and motivating experience that ultimately helps drive more people to join in the challenge. Now that RaceJoy is fully integrated into our Challenge Platform, events can take things up a notch and extend their reach by virtually connecting with the participant as they complete their challenge.

With RaceJoy, challenge event organizers are able to offer an official mobile version of their event where the participant feels connected with the event and is able to receive support from their friends and family with RaceJoy’s GPS phone tracking and cheer sending features. Race organizers are able to further engage with participants by creating a custom audio experience that plays as participants complete distance milestones. RaceJoy issues continual progress reports to the participant then automatically submits the incremental activity performed to RunSignup’s Challenge dashboard. This includes distance achieved, finish time, splits and average pace, and elevation gain. RaceJoy is available for those completing outdoor endurance events, such as running, walking, cycling, hiking, paddle board, and other water events.

RunSignups’ virtual Challenge Platform is free for events and nonprofits using RunSignup|GiveSignup registration and ticketing services. The Challenge Platform is a web-based solution where individuals or teams are able to easily add activity updates, monitor their progress via activity pages, view a tracking progress map, and receive milestone badges. Organizers are able to setup milestone goals and associated badges to enliven their event and build in progress motivation moments throughout. These can be based on any type of tracked activity, such as number of days, minutes, elevation gains, distance achieved, etc. Though RaceJoy is only available for outdoor endurance events, RunSignup’s Challenge Platform can be used for any activity type (from number of books read to good deeds done to number of new recipes cooked), which broadens the reach to beyond the typical race participant.

Examples of some more notable challenge events utilizing RunSignup’s Challenge Platform include:
