Use our new timer onboarding guide that offers an inventory of audio and written how-to resources to learn about timer related topics. This includes everything from how to set up a timer account to advanced product training on RaceDay Scoring. The Timer Onboarding spreadsheet offers an at-a-glance view of our suggested initial training resources. 

Managing timers can also pull from a larger inventory of resources with this expanded onboarding library to craft an individualized training program for new staff. 

Timer Terminology

New timers can start with the basics by learning frequently used industry terms and those unique to RunSignup’s platform. This is an essential first step to understanding the timing industry and technology. 

RunSignup Timer Certifications

Four timer certification courses are available for timers to achieve in-depth training on RunSignup’s technology. Certifications are free to timers and recorded sessions enable timers to complete the courses at a time that is right for them. The following courses are available:

Personalized Training

Timing companies can request group or individual personalized training with RunSignup’s Soren Larsen. This is ideal for timing companies with multiple new timers or individuals who are newer to RunSignup’s RaceDay Real-Time suite of products. Note that group training requires a prep planning session.
