We are excited to announce our newest intern, William Carr. William will be working as a Software Engineer Intern. To welcome William to our development team and to give him the opportunity to tell his story, we spent some time learning more about him both personally and professionally. Where are you from, and where do you currently reside?
I am from Edison, NJ, and I currently live in Glassboro, NJ.
What will be your job title at RunSignup, and what will be your responsibilities (be as specific as possible)?
I will be a Software Engineer Intern at RunSignup working on code assignments, testing code, attending meetings, and participating in design sessions.
Please share additional details about your past work experience, your education and/or training, and any notable professional skills.
I have worked as a Web Developer on the Rowan University Computer Science Department Webteam, developing full-stack web applications and designing the databases that the applications use. I am currently a Junior at Rowan University for Computer Science.
What are you most looking forward to in joining the RunSignup team?
I’ve heard great things about the company culture, the hybrid work schedule, and generally the way that employees are treated.
Tell us about your hobbies and interests, and what you like to do for fun outside of work.
I enjoy exercising, recently in the form of boxing, taking care of animals, playing games, and cooking.
What is a fun fact about yourself?
I have worked as a Barista in multiple locations over multiple years, and I really love coffee.
