We are introducing a new blog series that will summarize all of the product releases across our product families on a weekly basis.
This week we shipped 73 releases, adding 16,545 lines of code and removing 7,401 lines as we continue to improve and simplify the platform. As usual, all of these improvements.
This week’s release brings improvements across volunteer management, ticketed events, website tools, and more. Whether you’re organizing a race, running a membership club, or managing a ticketed event, there’s something here that should make your week a little easier. Here’s what’s new, grouped by area.
VOLUNTEER V2 Beta
As part of our Volunteer V2 beta (https://info.runsignup.com/2026/08/05/volunteer-v2-limited-beta/), we shipped a batch of updates this week to make coordinating volunteers easier.
Private, Invite-Only Task Sign-Ups
Volunteer coordinators can now set up private, invite-only sign-up links for specific tasks, so only the people you choose can register without your having to import a list yourself.
Sign Up For Tasks Without Time Slots
Volunteers can now sign up for tasks that don’t have specific time slots attached, matching how many day-of tasks, like raffle sales or general help, actually work.
Dedicated Notification Settings For Volunteer Events
Volunteer events finally have their own notification settings page, so coordinators can customize confirmation emails and add extra recipients, the same way race and ticket event directors already can.
Downloadable Volunteer Task Summary Reports
The Volunteer Task Summary report can now be downloaded, not just viewed on screen, making it easier to share or archive.
Edit Any Field On A Volunteer’s Registration
Coordinators can now edit any field on a volunteer’s sub-registration if something needs correcting, without asking the volunteer to resubmit.
Uncategorized Tasks Now Sort To The Bottom
Tasks that haven’t been assigned a category now sort to the bottom of the registration screen instead of mixing in with named ones, making it easier for volunteers to find the task they’re looking for.
Fixed Broken Volunteer Event Email Logo
A broken logo image that was showing up in some volunteer V2 event emails has been fixed.
TICKETED EVENTS & WAIVERS
New Per-Ticket Waiver Attachments
Ticketed events can now require a separate waiver attachment at the ticket level, giving event organizers more control over exactly what each ticket type requires participants to sign or acknowledge before completing registration.
More Filters For The Waiver Agreements Report
The Waiver Agreements report now supports searching by ticket purchase, waiver type, or a specific waiver, making it much faster to track down a signed waiver tied to a particular purchase.
New Time Slot Placeholders In Purchaser Emails
Ticket purchaser emails for multi-day timed entry events can now include personalized start-time placeholders, so confirmation messages reflect each purchaser’s actual time slot.
WEBSITE BUILDER
Hide Website Sections On Mobile
Website Builder now supports hiding specific sections when your site is viewed on a phone. If you have a section that only makes sense on a bigger screen, like a large image gallery, you can now tuck it away on mobile so your calendar or key details show up front and center instead.
New Playfair Font Theme
Website Builder picked up a new Playfair font option for sites that want a more elegant, editorial look.
Fixed Charity Leaderboard Display Setting Bug
Fixed a bug where the Charity Leaderboard component could show charities that shouldn’t have appeared based on your charity display settings.
Refreshed Website Page Banners
Corrected page banner colors that weren’t matching the rest of a site’s theme.
Cleaned Up Timeslot Calendar Escape Key Behavior
Cleaned up a visual overlap issue that occurred when using the Escape key to exit the time slot calendar editor.
DONATIONS & FUNDRAISING
Fundraising Notifications Now Reach All Team Captains
Fundraising notifications, like new donations and goal-reached alerts, now go out to every team captain instead of just the primary one, so co-captains stay in the loop automatically.
Shareable QR Codes And Links For Charity Partners
Added shareable QR codes and links for charity partners on both the race and charity partner dashboards.
MEMBERSHIP & ORGANIZATION TOOLS
New Confirmation Page Settings For Member Organizations
Added new confirmation page settings for member organizations, matching what’s already available for ticketed events.
Auto-Renewal Status On The Expiring Members Report
Added an auto-renewal status column to the Expiring Members report, so club administrators can see at a glance who’s set to renew automatically without cross-referencing another report.
Fixed Incorrect Auto-Renewal Status Display
Fixed a display bug that was incorrectly showing some members as enrolled in auto-renewal after they had already turned it off.
TEXT MESSAGING (Not Yet Publicly Available)
Import Your Existing Opted-In Contact List
For organizations using our advanced text messaging tools, you can now import a list of contacts who’ve already opted in to receive texts, along with the date they gave consent and their name, making it much easier to bring an existing subscriber list into RunSignUp cleanly and keep good records of consent.
Simplified Individual Number Sending
Simplified the sending experience by removing an older, less-used way of sending to individual numbers one at a time.
DASHBOARD & REGISTRATION TOOLS
Estimated Finish Time Now Shows On Confirmation Emails
If your race collects an estimated finish time for corral placement, that information now appears in the participant’s registration confirmation email and on their profile page, not just in the corral management tools. Participants no longer have to guess whether their estimate was received, and race directors get fewer “did my time submit?” questions.
Accessible Results Selectors
Improved keyboard and screen reader support for the dropdown selectors used on the results pages.
Clearer Messaging For Additional Registrants
Improved the messaging shown to participants when registering additional people alongside themselves.
RACE PHOTOS
Bulk Move And Delete For Race Photos
Photographers and race staff can now select multiple photos at once in the photo gallery and move or delete them in a single action, instead of handling each photo one at a time. This is especially helpful for cleaning up or reorganizing large photo sets after race day.
INVOICING, RENEWALS & ADMIN TOOLS
Printable PDF Invoices For More Account Types
Invoices for clubs, partners, and other organization accounts can now be downloaded or printed as a PDF, matching a feature that was previously only available for corporate team invoices. This makes it much easier to share, file, or mail a copy of an invoice when needed.
More Control Over Deferred Registrants During Race Renewals
When transferring a race to a new event date through a renewal, directors can now flag deferred registrations for review before they carry over, giving more control over who moves to the new event.
Export Your Audit Trail Records
Account audit trail records can now be exported to a file, making it easier to review or archive a history of account changes.
FOR DEVELOPERS & API USERS
New Preformatted Results REST API Support
Added support for retrieving preformatted results through our REST API, making it easier for developers to pull ready-to-display results into their own tools.
Multi-Day Event Time Slots Now Available Via API
Ticket time slot data for multi-day timed entry events is now accessible through our API.
Race URLs API Fix
Fixed a bug affecting race URL data returned through our API.
RELIABILITY & BEHIND-THE-SCENES IMPROVEMENTS
Over a dozen updates that improve our development and production systems including updating all systems to address recent reported CVE’s. We actually invest more in infrastructure than any other area of the product – the hidden stuff that keeps our systems scalable, available and secure.
Improved Refund And Payment Hold Tracking
Made several improvements to how we process and track refunds and payment holds so that payment issues resolve correctly and don’t get stuck in limbo.
Email Delivery Reliability Fix
Fixed an issue affecting the reliability of some outgoing account emails.
Faster Contact Form Chat Responses
Improved response times for our contact form chat assistant by warming it up as soon as someone starts typing.
