Timer Certification in San Francisco

This week’s RaceDay Timer Certification Tour is in San Francisco where we’ve been training race timers on RunSignup’s RaceDay technology. We intentionally kept this venue to be a smaller group than the others and it has been great to have more one-on-one interaction with 35 west coast timers.

As part of the process, we make full use of RunSignup’s technology – from registering for the timer certification, to checking in using the CheckIn app, to an official timer certification certificate for those completing the training like the one shown below.

One of the topics covered during the training are the different types of tracking available for timers to provide to races, including bib/chip alerts and GPS tracking. RunSignup offers both real-time text alerts based on bib/chips crossing timing equipment on the course and continuous GPS tracking in RaceJoy.

Timers took advantage of some extra training during one-on-one meetings the following day with the RaceDay team.

Thanks to the west coast attendees for joining us this week. We are off to next week’s grand finale location in Orlando where more than 100 timers are coming to be RaceDay Certified!
