Boilermaker, the historic 15K road race in Utica, NY, opened up a Loyalty Program registration this morning at noon. They are opening up registration only to finishers of last year’s race for a week – next weekend they will open remaining slots to everyone else.
In the first 10 minutes over 1,800 people registered. 30 minutes, and over 3,300 people have registered. The system is responding very well in terms of performance. Also from a support perspective, we have received only 4 emails – mostly people not remembering the name they used last year (the system is set up that is needs an exact match on name and email or birthdate to confirm they finished last year).
Performance is looking great on our servers (this is running on our normal production configuration – we did not need to expand at all). Here are some charts:
