Shipping Address Correction Stats

Since releasing our Shipping Address Validation that uses the USPS validation mechanism, we have had a lot of customers make nice comments. They use it to let participants that want their Bibs, Giveaways or Add-Ons shipped to a correct address. This is similar to how Amazon validates your shipping address.

One customer recently shared their stats with us. Of 672 bibs they were shipping, there were 333 addresses that were at least slightly corrected (for example ordering the address and Apartment Unit number correctly). Included in that number were corrections where the system knows that an address should have a Unit Number, but the participant has forgotten to enter it. There were also 31 people who entered a completely different address than what they used for their home registration address.

This improves deliverability and reduces returns and costs.
