Setting up a new race on RunSignup is exciting, but we know it can feel like there are a lot of moving pieces to manage all at once.
Our onboarding process is designed to help guide you through race setup, payment account verification, and any questions that come up along the way. Whether you’re launching your very first race or bringing an established race to RunSignup, our Onboarding Team works behind the scenes to help make sure your setup is complete and ready for participants.
When you create a new race on RunSignup, the Onboarding Team will review the race and may reach out to the race director(s) to assist with the race setup and payment account onboarding. During this review process, the Onboarding Team looks at several key areas, including:
- Ensuring the race adheres to RunSignup’s Code of Conduct
- Reviewing the setup for common mistakes or opportunities for improvement
- Checking the status of the payment account setup process
- Identifying whether the race director is new to RunSignup or an existing customer
- Noting whether the event is working with a timer/partner
This review helps us proactively catch issues that could impact registration, payments, or the participant experience later on.
Expect a Call or Email From Our Team
Once the review is complete, a member of the Onboarding Team may reach out by phone or email to:
- Introduce themselves
- Answer setup questions
- Offer recommendations for your setup
- Help guide you through payment account setup
- Make sure you have everything you need before opening registration
Our goal is to help make the onboarding process as smooth and straightforward as possible.
Your Main Point of Contact During Onboarding
Throughout onboarding, a member of the Onboarding Team will serve as your primary point of contact. They’ll help coordinate questions related to setup, payment processing, and launching your race.
Once your payment account is approved and your race is ready to go live, you’ll be introduced to your next level of support:
- A dedicated account manager, or
- The RunSignup Info Team
From there, you’ll continue to have access to guidance and support as your race grows.
