We know that an increasing number of participants come to RunSignup to find a race, RaceInsights data shows about 2.1% of all registrations in the past month come from the RunSignup.com/Races page. To help this grow, we have added new ways to find races, that should also help to attract new searches from Google and Bing to races that use RunSignup:
- States
- Cities
- Event Types
For example, the new State search is a clickable map:
This will also get indexed by search engines like Google so when people search for “Texas Races”, hopefully they see the link to our page and are redirected to search races in Texas that are listed on RunSignUp.
Likewise, with the event type list, we are hoping that people searching for “Triathlon Race” will be directed to the dedicated page for Triathlon races.
It will take some time for this to get indexed and so see the impact on races. It is important to note this is not meant to replace our affiliate program or other mechanisms to promote your race.
