With the third annual RunSignup University coming up in just a few months, we’ll be taking a look at the best reasons to take the leap and attend in-person. First up: Study Hall.

RunSignup University Study Hall: Your Personal Tutoring Time

While we’ve often tried to incorporate one-on-one time for customers at events, 2025 was the first time we really felt like we got it right. How? We stopped giving any structure to the time, and the Study Hall room became the busiest spot on campus (so much so, we are expanding our Study Hall team this year).

How can you use Study Hall?

• Bring your list. We mean your whole list. Every little “not worth an email” question, all the “will you ever do this” ideas, and even your “this is stupid” complaints. We’ll sit down with you and go through your list to help with everything we can, and log whatever we can’t for future consideration by the dev team.
• Review your race. Looking for a second set of eyes to evaluate what could be even better in your race setup? Bring your laptop and your race website, and we’ll be happy to go through it for ideas of features to turn on to optimize your event.
• Get introduced to something new. Nothing on the schedule that’s applicable to you? Stop in and ask a team member for their favorite feature or new, upcoming release to look out for. We’ll answer the questions you didn’t know you had.
• Access specialty advice. While our Professors all have broad-ranging knowledge of the platform, sometimes you want the person with the most experience in a more niche product area. Whether that’s RaceDay Scoring (talk to Matt Avery), the AI Chatbot (Daniel Beasley can help), Peer-to-Peer fundraising (Chris Newcomer will be here), or Calendar-Based Ticketing (Allison can demo), the Study Hall team can make sure you connect with the right person for the right answers.

How Does Study Hall Work?

RunSignup University Study Hall is open and staffed by RunSignup Professors (*employees) throughout University. Use your break time for a quick stop-in, or take a break from sessions for a deep-dive into the topic that matters most to you. No appointment necessary; while we can’t promise there will never be a wait, we’ve doubled our on-site team of Professors this year to make sure there’s someone available to sit down with you.

Why RunSignup University is Intended for In-Person Attendance

One of our most common questions is “will you offer University Virtually”? The answer is no. It’s not because we want to gatekeep content – we will convert applicable content into webinars throughout the year – it’s because the hands-on nature of University does not translate across a screen. RunSignup University Study Hall is the perfect example of this: the value is in sitting down with a person, not watching a screen.
