The RunSignup AI Chatbot (BETA): Now Available for All Races!

The RunSignup AI Chatbot (BETA) is another free, integrated tool to solve every race’s evergreen challenge: participants who don’t read.
The chatbot lives on your race Website V2, providing an easy way for participants to ask questions and get reliable answers, instantly. The Beta AI Chatbot is now available for all races on RunSignup to enable.
To be eligible for a AI Chatbot, races must:
- Be using Websites V2
- Have an FAQ component on your Website V2 with at least 5 questions answered (more is better!)
“We immediately noticed emails nearly came to a halt—so much so that I was worried something was broken. But it turned out the AI agent was just doing its job, answering questions like a trained team member. In the end, we saw an 80% reduction in emails, participants were getting answers faster than we ever could, and we’re now saving 5–10 hours a week on support.”
– David Hutnik, Coastal Race Productions

Dynamic Results using AI Chatbot
Dynamic Results adds real-time race results to the RunSignup AI Chatbot, making it easier for participants to find their results.
- Real-time access to participant and race results directly through the chatbot
- Supports natural-language questions for fast, self-serve answers
- Reduce post-race support inquiries and improve participant satisfaction

What’s Coming Next for the AI Chatbot
The RunSignup AI Chatbot is the first application in RunSignup’s broader Public Agent infrastructure — and its capabilities are expanding.
- AI-drafted email replies — when participants submit questions through your race contact form, the AI will suggest a draft reply for you to review and send, reducing the time you spend on routine inbox management.
- Infrastructure upgrade — the current chatbot will migrate the RunSignup’s new agent framework in the second half of 2026, bringing improved reliability, faster responses, and a foundation for additional participant-facing capabilities.
- Expanded actions — future versions of the Public Agent will be able to do more than answer questions, including helping participants make changes to their own registration.
