RRCA Guide Series

After being in the endurance industry for over a decade, we know a thing or two about races. Though we feel qualified to share tips and advice on a number of topics – like race registration, building beautiful event websites, or creating engaging emails – there are other areas where we know there are existing resources that are top-notch and think it’s best to just direct people to them, as opposed to to trying to make something new.

Spreading the knowledge

One such case is for race directors. We’ve certainly spent our fair share of time working with a bunch of amazing race directors, but know we’re not the foremost experts in that area. However, our friends at the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) are. Along with being home to over 1,000 running clubs, they also have a suite of incredibly useful guides (click the button below to see the whole library) for new and experienced race directors to help them put on amazing events.

For the next few months we’re doing a series of blog posts covering each of their guides. Each week we’re releasing a different post that’s essentially a Cliff Notes version of a guide, with a link to the full guide, which we always suggest reading in full.

Along with their race director guides, the RRCA also has some other useful resources we highly encourage anyone in the endurance space to check out. If you’re on the race director path, they have a Race Director Certification Course, which you can learn more about here. They also offer services for things like race insurance, as well as music licensing. You can learn more about both by clicking the related buttons below.

Moving forward

We hope our guide overviews can help spread the word about the amazing resources the RRCA created and also serve as a starting point for anyone interested in learning more about the different aspects of planning, creating, and executing safe, fun, and memorable endurance events.
