It includes essential race information and registration functionality without requiring extensive customization.
Websites V2
Best for:
Events building a long-term brand presence
Races that want a more robust, fully customized website
Organizations that previously used platforms like Squarespace and want to eliminate external website costs
Websites V2 is free to use and allows full website customization directly inside RunSignup.
Dashboard Tips & Best Practices
Accessing Your Race Dashboard
There are multiple ways to access your dashboard:
Log in at RunSignup.com → Profile Icon → My Races
Visit your race URL while logged in → Click “My Dashboard”
Use the Search Tools
Two key search tools save significant time:
Participant Search – Quickly find a registrant by name, email, or bib.
Menu Search – Search features (e.g., “QR code,” “coupon,” “volunteers”) instead of clicking through menus.
With so many platform features, using search is strongly recommended.
Turning on Websites V2
To enable:
Go to Race Dashboard
Click Race → Website V2
Toggle Websites V2 on
Click Save Website Settings
Important:
Avoid toggling on and off frequently once your race is live.
Toggle only during low-traffic times to prevent confusion.
What Transfers from Your Existing Website?
Transfers:
Logo
Basic color scheme
Standard Race Wizard settings
Does Not Transfer:
Custom images
Custom page layouts
Custom page settings
Organizers transitioning to Websites V2 should expect to rebuild custom elements.
Branding & Theme Customization
Websites V2 allows you to:
Upload logos and banners
Use a color picker or preset color schemes
Add a favicon (browser tab icon)
Customize fonts and layout styles
Design footers with social media links
This sets the overall look and feel of your site before adding content.
Website Builder: Drag-and-Drop Editing
The builder works similarly to tools like Squarespace:
Add sections
Drag and drop components
Rearrange layouts
Edit images and text inline
Save and preview in real time
Tip: Open your live website in a second tab to refresh and preview changes instantly.
System Pages vs. Custom Pages
System Pages
Prebuilt pages that pull live RunSignup data, such as:
Results
Donations
Teams
Fundraising
These update dynamically as data changes.
Custom Pages
Blank pages you build entirely from scratch using components.
SEO & Page Settings
Each page allows SEO customization, including:
Page titles
Meta descriptions
Search keywords
Optimizing SEO increases visibility when users search for:
Your race name
Your city/state + race
Related event keywords
RunSignup pages already rank well in search results, and proper SEO setup enhances that visibility.
Content Components You Can Add
Websites V2 includes many customizable components:
Text blocks
Image + text sections
Buttons
Countdown clocks
Video embeds (YouTube)
Spotify playlists
Strava integrations
Event lists
Donation thermometers
Fundraising data displays
Cards and grid layouts
You can experiment freely — it’s difficult to break anything, and changes can be edited or removed easily.
Navigation & Menu Setup
You can add:
New pages
System pages
External links
Dropdown menus (subpages)
Tip:
When adding external links, open them in a new tab to avoid pulling users away from registration.
Live Demo Highlights
The demo showed how to:
Toggle Websites V2 on
Customize theme settings
Add a new page section
Upload and edit images
Add buttons with links
Adjust layout styles

The process is designed to be intuitive and user-friendly.
