RaceJoy, Web, and TXT Result Submissions
Timers using RunSignup’s RaceDay Virtual Results will be happy to hear we’ve rolled out the ability to quickly see the source participants use to submit their results. Timers now have an at-a-glance view of whether participants submit their results through the RaceJoy app, through the event’s result web page, or if it was issued via TXT.
One of the reasons why this was in high demand by timers is this capability centered around the use of RaceJoy. Some events are requiring participants to use RaceJoy as their method to time and automatically record their performance since some events are not able to host an on-site timed experience. When the results are submitted through RaceJoy, the app automatically detects the participant’s finish time and submits the data to the RaceDay Virtual Results platform. If the participant manually adjusts their finish data, it will then show in the Source field as a Web or TXT submitted data.
In addition, timers and race directors wanted a way to further showcase the value sponsors of RaceJoy were receiving by reporting the usage of those participants who submitted results through the app. Timers can easily export the result data to provide a report of those that used RaceJoy to have their finish data automatically submitted. Note: participants will need to know their official race Bib number to take advantage of this feature.
