RunSignup Offers Inaugural Winter Symposium

New Opportunity for Industry Professionals to Gain Valuable Knowledge and Collaborate

RunSignup announces its inaugural Winter Symposium for race directors, timers, and nonprofits in Orlando, FL on January 13 & 14, 2020. RunSignup has hosted an annual Summer Symposium since 2014, with interest in the hands-on technology training consistently exceeding maximum capacity.  The Winter Symposium offers industry professionals an additional opportunity to invest in their education and connect with their peers. Three intersecting tracks will focus on RunSignup tools for race directors, the RaceDay technology suite for timers, and GiveSignup for nonprofits, with sessions led by both RunSignup employees and outside industry experts.

“It is amazing to see the excitement and engagement of Symposium attendees. The main reason people attend the Summer Symposium is to learn about technology that can upgrade their businesses directly from the RunSignup team. With demand for our Summer Symposium outgrowing capacity, we want to expand our education program for race directors, timers, and nonprofits while maintaining the personal approach to training.  With sessions available for both beginner and advanced users, RunSignup Partners are encouraged to bring some of their clients to help them grow and improve their events,” said Bob Bickel, Founder and CEO of RunSignup.

In addition to training on RunSignup’s suite of tools, the Winter Symposium will deliver nonprofit business and peer-to-peer fundraising sessions led by industry experts and in-depth training on GiveSignup’s new technology suite. Topics will include ticketed events, donation websites, fundraising campaigns, runs/walks/rides, and the nonprofit dashboard. The GiveSignup track benefits nonprofit customers as well as race directors, timers, and race management companies who work with fundraising runs/walks/rides, nonprofits, and charity partners.

Session topics at the Winter Symposium will include:

  • Marketing Trends
  • Business Strategies to Differentiate You
  • Technology for Race Day
  • Raising More with Nonprofit Ticketing and Donation Websites
  • Networking Opportunities

The Winter Symposium will also offer dedicated Timer sessions for race timers to gain advanced training and certification status. Timers who become RaceDay Certified are able to take advantage of exclusive access to revenue generating programs, including the ability to offer RaceJoy.

RunSignup’s Winter Symposium will be held on Monday, January 13 and Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at the Orlando Airport Marriott Lakeside.
