New Zapier App Makes Integration Simple

RunSignup has always had an open API that is free to use to integrate RunSignup data with other applications you might need to share data with. We continue to be committed to expanding our API with our  product to include both RunSignup and TicketSignup capabilities.  However using an API does require developer skills to write a program to access and manipulate data.

RunSignup partnered with Sidekick Solutions, a software consulting and integration developer, to provide a simpler option for integrating RunSignup  with a variety of other packaged applications without complicated programming.  The partnership utilizes Zapier, a leading integration platform, to simplify the process of connecting RunSignup with other critical systems such as Salesforce.com, DonorPerfect and Mailchimp to name a few.  The RunSignup Zapier App is now available on the Zapier platform.  Zapier provides a no-code, point and click interface that walks you through the creation of workflows (called “Zaps”) between RunSignup and a library of over 5000 other applications.

The RunSignup Zapier app currently offers three Zapier triggers:

  • New Registration:  fires when a new Registration is created for the selected Race in RunSignup
  • New Donation: fires when a Donation is processed for the selected Race in RunSignup
  • New Registration Add-On:  fires when add-ons are selected for a new Registration for the selected Race in RunSignup

Each workflow (Zap) in Zapier runs when a trigger executes and is followed by one or more actions, such as creating a record in your donor management, email marketing, or another system your organization uses.  With Zapier’s user-friendly interface, you can map your RunSignup data fields to your target system with data formatting and error handling.  

Tony Sapp from Negative Split Productions uses RunSignup to manage over 25 races per year.  He used Zapier to stream participant data from RunSignup to a contact list for his email marketing system.  “Getting the Zapier RunSignup integration up and running was super simple.  I had a working integration in less than 20 minutes and my data is always synced without needing to export and manipulate the data!”
