Good Luck at Worlds, Nikki and Emma!

Our team at RunSignup is looking forward to cheering on Team USA at the World Track and Field Championships the next 2 weeks! We are sending extra good luck wishes to RunSignup customers and professional runners Nikki Hiltz and Emma Coburn. In addition to racing at Worlds, they are both directing races that they founded this fall. As track and field fans, we can’t wait to cheer Nikki and Emma on in the 1500 and Steeplechase. We are even more excited to provide free registration and fundraising technology as they direct best-in-class races with a focus on raising money for two amazing nonprofits.

Pride 5k

Nikki Hiltz founded the Pride 5k in 2020. They came out as transgender non-binary in 2021. Since then they won the 1500 indoor and outdoor championships, as well as set the American record in the mile. Their success on and off the track lets transgender people know that the running community is inclusive and that they belong.

RunSignup is proud to offer registration software that offers non-binary gender options. Every person should feel included from signing up for a race to checking their results.

The Pride 5k supports Point of Pride, a nonprofit that provides financial aid and direct support to trans people in need of health and wellness care. It’s a virtual race with in-person group runs on race day in 5 cities. This gives communities across the country the opportunity to come together and celebrate pride.

Emma Coburn’s Elk Run 5k

This is the seventh year of Emma Coburn’s 5k. The race brings people to Emma’s hometown of Crested Butte, Colorado while raising money for Living Journeys, a charity that supports local residents battling cancer. The 2023 Elk Run 5k is in honor of Emma’s mom, Annie, who passed away in January 2023 after a 3 year battle with Stage 4 colon cancer.

We’re also happy that we can help Living Journeys raise more money throughout the year. They use GiveSignup and TicketSignup for their Summit Hike and Golf Tournament.
