Our live Timer Tip Tuesday webinars are a valuable resource for timers. We use these to provide product education on the latest technology, share tips on timer tools, and answer timers questions. In addition, we sometimes host a timer to share their best practices with others and dive into their timing business. We are now inviting timers to host their own Timer Tip Tuesday or other webinar to cover topics they feel other timers or their race organizers will be interested in. Timers can take advantage of this to share information with fellow timers or to help inform race organizers of the various tools and services timers bring to the race.
Potential Webinar Topics
Potential topics are anything timers feel other timers or race organizers would find valuable. Some potential topics include:
- Deep dive on how to use one of RunSignup’s products
- A use case on how timers run a certain aspect of their business
- Q&A session
- History of a growing timing business and lessons learned
- How to use timing equipment
- Specific applications for event types like triathlon and lap events
- Benefits of RunSignup technology for race organizers (like dynamic bib assignments)
- Ways a timer can help race organizers beyond timing
Really, the topics covered could be anything that would be helpful to the timing or race community.
Value for Timers
This is an opportunity for timers in the industry to share their knowledge and position themselves as a thought leader with their events. We feel this will give timers a forum to gain best practice training and to help train and inform their events on the value timers bring. In return, RunSignup will handle the logistics of setting up the webinar using GoToWebinar and promote the event with our database of timers or race director through email, our various newsletters, and other communications. Plus, we will post the recording on Youtube as an on-demand recording that timers or race directors will view after the session. Presenting timers can then use this video in their marketing efforts.
