We are excited to announce our newest intern, Sam Friedman. Sam will be working as a Software Engineer Intern. To welcome Sam to our development team and to give him the opportunity to tell his story, we spent some time learning more about him both personally and professionally. Read on to get to know Sam!
Where are you from, and where do you currently reside?
I am from Cherry Hill, NJ (near RunSignup’s Moorestown Headquarters).
What will be your role at RunSignup?
I will be a Software Engineer Intern My responsibilities will include Web Development and potentially some data science projects.
Please share additional details about your past work experience, your education and/or training, and any notable professional skills.
I am currently a Quantitative Finance major at Stevens University of Technology(2/3 years done). I have worked on numerous algorithmic trading strategies using python along with machine learning packages. For one of those, I worked at Collx creating a model to recommend cards to users along with creating a model to estimate card prices.
What are you most looking forward to in joining the RunSignup team?
I am looking forward to learning how software engineers work with each other in an official capacity. Additionally, there are potential opportunities for some cool data analytics projects.
Tell us about your hobbies and interests, and what you like to do for fun outside of work.
Outside of work, I like to workout, play sports, and hangout with friends.
