We’re excited to announce a new enhancement to our RaceDay CheckIn App: the ability to look up participants by scanning their Apple Wallet Membership QR code. This integration makes the check-in process faster and more accurate, providing a quick alternative for participants who may have misplaced their registration confirmation email.
How It Works
- A user signs up for a membership with a local running club.
- They receive a Club Membership confirmation email with a button to add the membership to their Apple Wallet.
- Later, the user registers for a local 5K event, which is totally unaffiliated with the running club they’re a part of.
- On race day, the user arrives at the event but has misplaced their registration confirmation email.
- The event volunteer can simply scan the user’s Club Membership QR code from their Apple Wallet to quickly identify the participant in the RaceDay CheckIn App, allowing them to assign a bib number and check the user in seamlessly.
This new feature provides a reliable, digital backup for participants while helping event staff speed up check-ins and reduce delays. It’s another step forward in our goal of providing innovative tools for a smooth race day experience for both organizers and participants alike.
