As we approach the end of the year, we will see more and more users renewing their memberships for 2026 on RunSignup.
Our Membership Organization product has auto-renewal settings which allow your members to enable this feature when they purchase a new membership or renew their existing membership.
This functionality is not available on our Legacy Club system. If your club is currently on the legacy system, we recommend upgrading as soon as possible and setting up auto-renewal in your Membership Level settings.
Upgrading Your Club to a Membership Organization
Upgrading your Club is simple. In your Club Dashboard, click the “Upgrade” button to start the upgrade process:

Once upgraded, you will have a “Legacy Content” tab in your Membership Dashboard where you can access your Legacy Club content, reports, and settings you need to be able to get your new Membership Organization fully set up.
Set Up Auto-Renewal on Your Membership Organization
To set up auto-renewal on your Membership Organization, navigate to Memberships >> Membership Levels in the Dashboard, and click into the membership level(s). In the Membership Pricing section, you can turn on auto-renewal settings for monthly, yearly, and daily pricing durations:
When setting up auto-renewal, you can have the system attempt to auto-renew the membership on the morning of their last membership date or the morning after their last membership date. You also have the options to set auto-renewals to renew at the current or original price and to default to auto-renewal being on or off in the membership registration path.
Then, when members renew their membership (or purchase a new membership), they will see the auto-renew checkbox once they select their duration/pricing option:
We have already started the process of migrating some clubs over to the new memberships system. For those clubs who choose not to migrate (or those who have not already been manually migrated), we will be removing support for the Legacy Club system and automatically migrating all Clubs over to Membership Organizations in Q1 2026.
