The Quick Summary:
- The Endurance Community continues last year’s upward trajectory with event participation in Q2 up 5% year over year and transaction dollars up 9%.
- Total Transaction volume is up 17% vs. our plan of about 9%, always a nice thing to be ahead of plan (mostly due to increased market share in endurance).
- Our RunSignup endurance events business is continuing to enjoy market share growth. We are reaching 60% market share in the US. And we continue to grow with the number of races up 12% (up over 2,000 new races happened in Q2 on our platform) and the number of registrations up 17% (up over 439,000 registrations) from last Q2.
- Our new TicketSignup pricing of 40¢ per ticket plus standard credit card fees is a hit. Early results are very positive.
- Our Customer Service AI Chatbot has been a hit, with over 1,500 customer websites using it to answer over 10,000 participant and attendee questions per month. Customers are reporting a substantial decrease in customer service emails and calls.
- We are on the verge of releasing our new RunSignup AI Infrastructure built to ensure customers have a stable, scalable, and secure AI experience as we build AI into literally every part of our platform.
- Our technology platform continues advancing with over 600 releases in Q2.
- We had a blast at our first full company meeting since pre-pandemic, followed by a highly successful (at least that is what our customers said!) RunSignup University for Race Directors in June.

Our employee owned company shares our high level numbers and thoughts on the market and technology advances on a quarterly and yearly basis – 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and Q1 2026.
Q2 Numbers
Another solid quarter overall as we overachieved on our registration, transaction and profitability goals. This performance continues to make our employee owned company the safe choice, providing the best technology and support for our event customers now and in the future.

The endurance market continues to gradually expand. We published our annual Mid Year Trends Report, which contains a timer van full of data. This chart shows the races on RunSignup in both 2025 and 2026, so it is a direct YOY comparison:

We had nice growth in the number of races using RunSignup. Some of those continue to be from registration vendors closing down their products like Chronotrack, Enmotive and Stack/Get Me Registered/RaceWire. We also seem to be picking up more races from some of the other vendors who are not keeping up with technology and things like truly integrated websites and email.
Here are more detailed numbers in terms of race churn (races over 500) that did not recur in 2025 and Q1 of 2026, as well as races lost to competitors. The no race churn is historically low at only 3.2% and the competitor churn is also incredibly low at 1.1%. The new race growth of over 500 participants continues to be strong:

This chart shows all races on RunSignup that happened in each month. The growth reiterates that we are getting the majority of new events, and continue to have more races move from other platforms than the ones who move away from RunSignup.

AI Product Infrastructure
We have already put AI into our customer’s hands with our AI Chatbot, AI Results and AI Assistant. These have helped thousands of customers reduce their customer support and create more dynamic websites. We are also moving fast on adopting AI into our own development process that will double our output by the end of 2026 (we hit a record 260 releases in April, up from an average of 200 per month in 2025, as a sign of what the trend is).
We are nearing the first releases of functionality built on our new AI Infrastructure. Here are our plans:
- Production environment — move from test to production (Q3)
- Enable more public agent specialists (Q3)
- Contact us agent
- Race results agent
- Broader RAG — more content types and events (Q3)
- Replace our existing AI Website Chatbot for customer service with this new intrastructure (Q3)
- Begin rolling out dashboard agents including Business Analytics (Q3)
- Being rolling out Website agents to do participant management like switching events and deferring (Q3)

Why does anyone have a separate WordPress website anymore?
RaceDay Mobile V6
The RaceDay Mobile version 6 is now available. This release is a major update with a host of improvements and includes a rebranding, previously known as RaceDay Mobile Timing app. The new name reflects the app’s expanded role on race day. Beyond backup or manual timing, it now serves as an automated photo capture system and a real-time announcer tool — providing a free easy-to-use race day field tool for event organizers, timers, and race directors who use RunSignup’s registration platform.

This app will be the basis for a set of features we will be rolling out to our timer partners to improve the spectator experience with low cost split points for course tracking with near real time display of photos of participants as they progress during the race. Races will love this!
