Rhode Races & Events hosts a series of five race experiences in scenic view locations in the Rhode Island area. This event series provide a backdrop of water views framed by race management perfection. Each event offers a half marathon and three events also offer a full marathon and 5K. Participants have the option to participate in all five events to become an official Rhode Master.

The producer of the events, Susan Rancourt, has grown this race series to be well attended, highly coordinated, and superior quality experiences. Each event’s location was carefully selected to provide a setting for participants to enjoy the beauty of the area.
One of the advantages about participating in a series are the consistencies that are offered and knowing what to expect with how things will be managed. Event organizers, like Rancourt, have established more systematic processes where all the details have been thought through so that the experience is higher quality. Organizers tend to use the same vendors such as timing services, portable toilets, finisher medals, energy drinks/snacks, and t-shirts. This consistency makes things a bit more predictable and planning for the day is that much easier.
One of the consistent tools that Rhode Races provides across its series is RaceJoy’s mobile tracking and cheer sending.

Since many of the more local participants will take part in multiple Rhode Races, they and their supporting spectators have grown accustomed to the technology and then feel more comfortable taking full advantage of the various tools within the app beyond live phone tracking and cheer sending. For example, Rhode Races chooses to deliver scored results and photos in RaceJoy and participants know they can access their scored results within moments of crossing the finish line.

This result experience includes an individualized link to the participant’s tagged photos from their result.

Also, each event in RaceJoy has an event info section for general information like the race site location, the schedule, and FAQ like shown below. This is super helpful for both participants and spectators wanting to know details around the event.
Rhode Races was actually an early adopter of RaceJoy and continue to be one of the first to embrace any of the new innovations we release, such as scheduling Geo Cheers to play that let runners know about interesting attractions and historic points at select locations along the courses.
Of course, the live GPS tracking is the main draw for using RaceJoy and these courses provide a provide a perfect backdrop for RaceJoy’s tracking. Check out these course map views:
