We are very excited to share the launch of RaceDay Scoring Version 2.0!
The release of version 2.0 introduces the major additions of corral and wave management along with relay and combined team scoring. RaceDay Scoring is the replacement for The Race Director, one of the most widely-used scoring solutions in the industry scoring more than nine million participants per year across 20,000+ races. Designed with flexibility in mind, RaceDay Scoring provides standard and customizable scoring configurations combined with technology advancements that create operational efficiencies for timers.
“We’ve brought together a unique combination of The Race Director’s 30+ years of experience, input and collaboration with industry timers, and intellectual talent of a dedicated team of developers to develop the industry’s successor scoring software. By taking this approach, we’ve built an open scoring solution that is crafted to use the power of technology to address not just the basics of scoring, but the challenges around scoring that can impact the race day.”

Version 2.0’s key improvements are the newest layers added to RaceDay Scoring’s foundational features that provide basic to advanced configurations. In addition, it offers Internet independence where scoring can be done locally or in the cloud – overcoming challenges associated with varying cell conditions. Lead timers can easily manage crews by setting up scoring configurations from a master computer and then deploying to other satellite computers.
While RaceDay Scoring can be used completely offline for races with no Internet access, it is built to give timers easy access and automatic syncing with the Cloud. Timers who take advantage of RunSignup’s RaceDay Suite of products gain greater operational efficiencies while decreasing manual processes and the need for problem solving. This means races can leave registration open even after the gun goes off. Volunteers can do dynamic bib assignment during check-in on race morning and those bib numbers are automatically synched with RaceDay Scoring. As participants cross the finish line, their place and time is automatically synched to live leaderboards and full results are instantly available on the Web.
