We did a database upgrade this morning, and some users may have received an error message during the approximately 1 minute the database was down. If they re-submitted their page everything would continue to process as normal.
We upgraded from MySQL 5.5 to 5.6 on our main database, our read replica and our shard servers. This improves a few functions we introduced with some of our large searches in our new financial and partner level reports. It also positions us well to upgrade to Aurora next year.
The good news is that it looks like all transactions completed as normal. We will count that as 1 minute of downtime for the year in our annual report.
