We are excited to welcome Emma Schaefer to the RunSignup team! Emma joins us from Colorado after a short stint as a part-time employee, and brings a passion for outdoor activities and events big and small. Learn more about her and what brought her to RunSignup!
Where are you from, and where do you currently reside?
I grew up at the base of the Rocky Mountains in Niwot, Colorado, and am excited to have just moved back here!
What will be your job title at RunSignup, and what will be your responsibilities (be as specific as possible)?
As Lead Generation Associate, I’ll be researching and compiling ticketing events into comprehensive and targeted segments to support the sales and marketing teams in growing TicketSignup.
Please share additional details about your past work experience, your education and/or training, and any notable professional skills.
I graduated from Grinnell College in 2023 where I ran on the cross country and track teams and studied Multimedia Storytelling. After graduating I traveled on a research grant for a year around the world learning from many communities and cultures about the interconnection between music and the environment. Most recently, I worked as a summer naturalist in Aspen, Colorado, guiding ecology tours in the mountains.
What are you most looking forward to in joining the RunSignup team?
I’m really excited to be part of a team working together to help bring the best ticketing technology to support amazing events across the US!
Tell us about your hobbies and interests, and what you like to do for fun outside of work.
After taking a few years off from running consistently after college, I’m looking forward to easing back into it again! I’m also a singer-songwriter, music producer, and community choir facilitator. My happy places are anywhere near a river, on a mountaintop, in the forest, or playing songs in a cozy living room concert.
What is a fun fact about yourself?
Last year for Halloween I was a juke box (would recommend!). This year I might be an AI chat bot.
