Reminder for Timers: Daylight Savings Time Update — Don’t Forget to Adjust Your Decoders

This is a friendly reminder that Daylight Savings Time is approaching this weekend. As we “spring forward” by one hour, we want to ensure that all your events run smoothly and on schedule.

Daylight saving time begins on Sunday, March 8 at 2 a.m. local time.

Many timers encounter issues when their decoders do not automatically adjust to the new time, which can result in event timing discrepancies. To avoid these problems, please make sure to update your decoders to reflect the correct time.

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Check the settings on your decoders.
  2. Manually adjust the time or confirm that they are set to update automatically.
  3. Verify the time change has taken place before your next event.

Important: Overnight Events

If you have an event that takes place over 2 AM, ensure the scoring computer and decoders do not auto-adjust. Otherwise your passings and scoring may be affected.

If you need any assistance or have questions, please submit a Get Help ticket from within RaceDay Scoring or reach out to our support team

Please note that the time shift is outside of official support hours.

We wish you a smooth transition this weekend!
