AI for Your Race
RunSignup AI Chatbot
The RunSignup AI Chatbot is rolling out on a limited basis in July, 2025. Expect a wide release for customers in 2026.
- Free customer service chatbot for all races using RunSignup Websites V2 (with adequate information on their website)
- Early adopters report a reduction in support emails of at least 70%
- Integrated with RunSignup results to quickly and easily pull up results details for individual participants
- More features coming in 2026!

“I’ve been working with RunSignup for nearly a decade, and their tools have always made my job as a race director and timer easier. The addition of the Queu.ai team to RunSignup is a huge step forward in the use of AI for event registration and participant management. I’ve already seen how powerful the AI chatbot can be in saving time and improving participant support. Combining that with RunSignup’s deep understanding of the endurance space and current technology infrastructure is a game-changer, and I’m excited to see how it evolves.”

Coming Soon:
RunSignup AI MCP to Interact with ChatGPT
“The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that enables developers to build secure, two-way connections between their data sources and AI-powered tools. The architecture is straightforward: developers can either expose their data through MCP servers or build AI applications (MCP clients) that connect to these servers.”
– Anthropic
Find Events MCP:
Educating ChatGPT About Where & When Races Are
RunSignup will have our first MCP over the summer of 2025. We will start with the Find Events MCP so that our customers can get maximum benefit from the emerging AI search. This is implemented via our new OpenAPI and OAuth 2 implementation, making public data generally and easily available.
This means ChatGPT will be able to access our public race information to understand when and where races are happening. With AI quickly emerging as the third marketplace (along with Google & Meta), this ensures that your race will be found when a local runner asks “What races are in Pasadena next weekend?”
Secure MCP:
Querying ChatGPT About Your Race Data
RunSignup will implement secure MCP interfaces to our platform. Private information and functionality done on a Dashboard will require login as it always has. Additionally, private data will not leak into the general LLM.
This means race directors will be able to utilize ChatGPT to query their race information for fast, targeted reports that supplement RunSignup’s built in reporting. For example, a race can get detailed information about demographic changes from one year to the next or evaluate patterns in donations throughout the race cycle.
