The RunSignup AI Chatbot: Early Access Program

The RunSignup AI Chatbot is another free, integrated tool to solve every race’s evergreen challenge: participants who don’t read.
The chatbot will live on your race Website V2, providing an easy way for participants to ask questions and get reliable answers, instantly. An early access program is now available; wide release for all races using Websites V2 is expected in 2026.
To be eligible for the Early Access Waitlist, races must:
- Be using Websites V2
- Have comprehensive content on your Website V2 to teach the AI Chatbot correct answers for your customer queries
- Have Results in a native RunSignup format (for races)
“We immediately noticed emails nearly came to a halt—so much so that I was worried something was broken. But it turned out the AI agent was just doing its job, answering questions like a trained team member. In the end, we saw an 80% reduction in emails, participants were getting answers faster than we ever could, and we’re now saving 5–10 hours a week on support.”
– David Hutnik, Coastal Race Productions

What’s Coming for the RunSignup AI Chatbot
The RunSignup AI Chatbot will initially have basic response capabilities for a limited number of races. However, over the coming months, we will build more automation to scale the onboarding process to give chatbots to all customers who meet the requirements. Additional plans include:

- Participant Management features based on event settings for providing guidance on things like Referral Rewards, Deferrals, Transfer to a friend, Transfer Event, Refunds, etc.
- FAQ component built into our Websites V2 that will help events provide the context needed for providing better answers to customer queries.
- RunSignup | TicketSignup Dashboard access to chat histories and measurements for successful queries and escalated to human queries
- RunSignup | TicketSignup Dashboard tools to improve chatbot responses and provide additional training to the AI model
- Continuous iterative improvements based on customer feedback
- Continuous improvements in the underlying AI models
