The Dragons 5K Impresses with Technology + Unique Resources

The Dragons 5K in Dayton, OH took place on Saturday, July 15th and used technology to make the most of their setting in the stadium home of the Dayton Dragons (Fifth Third Field).

Working with the timer Good Times Event Services, the race used the Live Leaderboard feature to display race results for runners at the post-race party. This was no regular, tv-screen leaderboard, though: the results were projected onto their 7-story, giant 2,050 foot “13HD” video board (it’s among the 5 tallest and widest screens at any minor league stadium). In case you missed the display (or wanted to further celebrate your place on it), the results were also sent to the nine 75-inch screens located above the concession stands on the concourse.

We love it when races take technology and use it in ways we would never have thought of!
