Membership Website Components

Our Membership Organization product includes free website capabilities. You can build a beautiful website for your organization and control everything yourself – for free, including bringing your own domain name and we will provide and manage the SSL certificate (for free).

We are building out a component library that is very useful for membership organizations – these are all components that update in real time and make your website more dynamic and useful to your members (and potential members).

Adding components is simple in the Website Builder – just click on a component, put it where you want it, set the parameters you want to show and it is live in seconds! Here is a screenshot of the existing components as of August, 2024 (with more on the way).

Membership Organization Description

This is a simple one and is whatever you typed in for the description of your organization when you set it up or updated it. This means you enter information in one place and it instantly appears in all the places you want. This component is useful if you want to include your description in multiple places on your website.

And you can make it look kind of snazzy with the various display options you can set on any content area and component. For this one I set a background color, rounded corners and a border to make it stand out on the page:

Map Location and Membership Organization Location

This includes the address and a map to your organization address. Here is the component:

And the website that users see – first a quick view:

And then the expanded Google Map:

Event List

This is a powerful component if your membership organization is affiliated with any races or ticket events. The input to this is based on ID’s that you see in RunSignup (this will be eased a lot in the near future with names of events you have access to, but still allow for flexibility to include any events on our platforms within a radius of a zipcode). Feel free to ask us for help in finding the ID. Here is the setup today:

Here is an example of the grid list (again, this is in the process of being improved as well!). Remember, this automatically updates – current events move to past events automatically. And for races, both the website signup as well as results can be called out:

Discounted Events

We did a blog post on this when it first came out. It automatically shows a list of any event that offers a discount to members of your organization. This is very useful for running clubs for example, as they can offer discounts to members for their own races. But it can also be used to partner with races in your area – any race on RunSignup can offer a discount to any of your club members.

Membership Lookup

We make it easy for members to look up their membership and get reminder emails and reset passwords with a nice, secure component:

We have a new Member Management page coming in August. This management portal is fully integrated with your website and will pick up the same theme as the rest of your website automatically. Here is a sneak peek:

Membership Levels

These tiles make it easy to promote the various levels your membership organization might have. They are dynamic with prices that automatically update if you change member fees.

Member List

You can also list your members, and put this on a “Members only” page. We will be adding capabilities to share info like email and phone number as an option. The new list will look like this in a couple of weeks:

Number of Members and Number of Memberships

We include two components that allows you to show the member and membership count. Here is the website builder setup:

And here is what shows on your website:

The component is getting an upgrade to include better highlighting options in the coming weeks:

Donation Lookup

Sometime members make a donation, and they need to look it up. This makes that simple in a secure and self serve manner:

Strava Map

Finally (although we have more in the works!), we give you the ability to show any number of Strava Routes. This allows running and cycling clubs to have a bunch of common routes on their website. And if you have a club on Strava, you can link that as well.

And it has a very cool flyover mode:

Summary

Every Membership Organization needs a website. Too often these are too hard to setup and maintain, or cost too much. And they do not update in real time. Having our powerful Website V2 Builder at your (free) disposal with all of these useful and easy to use components allows you to communicate well with your members and future members.
