GiveSignup continues to invest in new features that help nonprofits raise more money through their peer to peer fundraising events. In 2025, we have a comprehensive product plan for fundraising events.

Milestone Notifications

In the first quarter of 2025, we will roll out Fundraising Milestone notifications. Peer to peer fundraising events will be able to customize milestone notifications for amounts raised and number of donations, as defined by milestone badges. This is an additional branded touch with fundraisers to encourage and reward them along their fundraising journey. Plus, milestone notifications are automated – easy to set up and no overhead to manage!

Fundraiser Email Hub V2

Email V2 has allowed many nonprofits to stop paying for email with GiveSignup’s FREE and unlimited Email Marketing. Email V2 is purpose-built for events with integrated fundraiser data, dynamic recipient lists, unlimited custom contact uploads, prebuilt emails, and easy to design templates. In 2024, we upgraded Volunteer Communications to Email V2. In 2025, we are starting a very big project to upgrade the Fundraiser Email Hub to Email V2.

The Fundraiser Email Hub allows fundraisers to use templates provided by nonprofits to send emails to donors and recruit more team members. By upgrading the Fundraiser Email Hub to Email V2, we will provide enhanced functionality and a better experience, including:

  • Prebuilt Emails for Fundraiser Templates plus Email Builder for nonprofits to create custom Fundraiser Templates
  • New recipient list of fundraising team members for Team Captains to facilitate team communications
  • Easy recipient selection
  • Easy access from Fundraising Page
  • New Email Builder to make it easy and fun for fundraisers to send emails from available templates provided by nonprofits – and add their own content.

Text Message Marketing

While free text messages for results and emergency notifications have been available for events since 2014, we will introduce Text Message Marketing at a cost of $.01 per message in Q1 of 2025. This is lower priced than competitors like Mailchimp and Constant Contact, and we are building text marketing in a compliant and scalable way.

We will integrate Text Message Marketing with Email V2. As we enhance Email with Super Lists to enhance matching and filtering email lists across your entire organization, we will integrate text as an option. Long term, your supporters will be able to set communications preferences (text or email), and you’ll be able to save money with lower cost texting and engaged recipient lists across different modes of communication.

Membership and Admissions

In 2024, we released Memberships V2 and MTE Timed Entry Ticketing. For some nonprofits like zoos and botanical gardens, membership is a key part of events. Members may get discounted entry fees. Events are also a great way to upsell memberships – “Become a member today and get 25% off your tickets.” In addition, some nonprofits may prefer a membership model to recurring donations. For example, become a Member and get these benefits vs become a recurring donor. Furthermore, TicketSignup provides a free ticketing product for special events like galas and dinners, as well as recurring multi-date and timed entry events.

Next year, we will continue to add more functionality to both Membership V2 and MTE Timed Entry Ticketing. Later in 2025, we will extend the current integration with Membership V2 and Races/Peer to Peer fundraising event to Tickets. This will allow nonprofits to automate member discounts across admissions, special events like galas, and P2P fundraising events. In addition, tracking and rewarding member engagement will continue to mature with Member Loyalty Rewards, Super Lists in Email V2 and text, and enhanced reporting.

Volunteers V2

GiveSignup has an integrated and free Volunteer Management system that makes it easy to set up tasks, volunteers needed, and track how many people have signed up. Later in 2025, we will begin upgrading Volunteer Management to V2. This project will be similar to how we have upgraded other core functionality in our platform: Email V2, Website V2, and Membership V2. Volunteers V2 will leverage MTE Timed Entry’s calendar day views to offer easier sign up and calendar-driven volunteer management capabilities. In addition, Volunteers V2 will offer a free and complete standalone volunteer solution that nonprofits can leverage outside of events to recruit, manage, and engage with volunteers year round.
