Our GiveSignup 2024 Product Recap and 2025 Roadmap focus on Peer-to-Peer Fundraising events. Since GiveSignup customers benefit from all of our platform enhancements, RunSignup, and TicketSignup updates, we will also link to those as they become available.
In 2024, nonprofit events raised over $200 Million on GiveSignup. We onboarded new events that raised $1 – $5 Million in donations on GiveSignup including Pedal the Cause, Ben to the Shore, El Tour de Tucson, Lobo Cancer Challenge, and Chicago River Swim. Thousands of new peer to peer fundraising events supporting 10,000 nonprofits renewed and/or set up new fundraising events. Our 2024 product releases helped all of these nonprofits: every feature we build is free and available for every event to use.
Donation E-Cards
Many nonprofits enhanced the giving experience with GiveSignup’s Donation E-Cards and Mail a Card features, incentivizing more donations! E-Cards allow donors to celebrate special occasions or honor loved ones, while Mail a Card provides a personal, tangible touch—helping nonprofits expand their reach and build stronger connections.
Key Fundraising Features
GiveSignup added new features to help nonprofits engage, manage, and reward fundraisers to incentivize them to raise more.
Fundraiser Incentives
Fundraiser Incentives boost peer-to-peer fundraising by rewarding higher goals with swag and other rewards. GiveSignup streamlines Fundraiser Incentive promotion, data collection, and branding. Paired with automated fundraiser refunds, these enhanced fundraising commitments drive more engagement and donations, and work with fundraiser minimum auto-charge.
Custom Question Fundraiser Milestones & Badges
Nonprofits can ask custom questions in the registration path and award badges based on responses. For example, give a cat badge to every fundraiser who adopted a cat. Custom question fundraiser milestones and badges are another creative way to engage and reward your fundraisers.
Umbrella Fundraising Teams
Umbrella Fundraising Teams group fundraising teams into super teams. Feature dynamic counts for number of teams, number of team members, and total donation amount raised by included teams. We’ve seen school fundraisers, corporations, and themed events leverage Umbrella Fundraising teams to drive team competitions.
Donation Transfers
Donation transfers let event directors move donations between individuals, from teams to individuals, and across teams. As a result, fundraisers can more easily meet their minimums with help from team members and other fundraisers. This feature works with fundraiser minimum auto-charge to help supporters who haven’t met their commitments. In addition, flexible display options give nonprofits options to display totals raised with or without transfers on the website.
Free Event Websites for Peer to Peer Fundraising Events
In 2024, Websites V2 allowed thousands of events to upgrade their existing event websites for free. With an easy point-and-click website builder, dynamic data components, unlimited content pages, and fully customizable branding, many nonprofits are choosing to save money and time with GiveSignup’s free event websites. Large peer to peer fundraising events used custom domains or subdomains to fully brand their event website. For example, https://www.ben2shore.org/, https://www.eltourtucson.org/, https://nycrun.t2t.org/.
We released several Website V2 components that are purpose-built for fundraising events. First, the new Top Fundraisers leaderboard now gives the option to feature your top fundraisers in terms of amount raised, number of donors, and most team members.
In addition, the new Charity Partner leaderboard dynamically displays the top charity partners by amount raised. This is perfect for events like the BFit Boston Bruins Callenge, which incentivize friendly competition between various charitable causes they support.
Flexible Fundraising Display Options
In 2024, we added more options for events to customize the fundraiser experience and display data on individual and team fundraising pages. The list included:
- Customize fundraiser donation instructions
- Customize Fundraising Text Message and Email Social Share
- Display Event on Fundraising Pages
- Display Fundraiser Type on Fundraising Pages
- Highlight Team Captains on Team Fundraising Pages
- Display Offline Donation Instructions on Fundraising Pages
And More…
Fast Team Fundraiser Search makes finding fundraising teams when signing up easier. Additionally, account claiming and merging helps users claim their participant, fundraiser, and donor data under a single login. Furthermore, Fundraising Team Giveaway Report generates a summary report of giveaways by size per fundraising team. Enhancements to the Top Fundraiser Report include separate columns for offline, online, and total donations. As some of the most important supporters, team captains now have enhanced report views. In addition to basic roster data, event can enable captains to view custom question responses, goals, and amount raised per team member.
